I earned a B.A. from Spelman College, a M.A. in Counseling from New York University, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from New York University. I am a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist, Certified Trauma Professional, Certified Tele Mental Health Provider – Associate, and have more than 20 years of clinical experience working with African Americans in a variety of settings in New York and Delaware. I activated my Maryland license and boutique private practice in January 2020, and am currently classified as a Level I LGPC in the state.  I am also an Associate Professor of Psychology and Africana Studies, and served as Co-Director of the Africana Studies program at a Baltimore, Maryland area college, where I teach and conduct research on the intersections of Black Psychology and Wellbeing.
